Launching Covenant School of Worship in January 2010

Each new move of God is accompanied by a renewal of worship, with new songs and original sounds appropriate for the age and culture. India Christian Ministries has been instrumental in laying the groundwork for what is now quickly intensifying: a passionate, God-breathed, fresh experience of worship.

Only a few years ago, worship music among the majority of believers in India was performed by just a singer with a single drum, often singing songs that were decades old. Now, we have fresh songs being composed and performed by worship leaders on keyboards, bringing a unique style and flavour to the worship within our churches. We have just released our 6th worship album, with all the songs coming out of our local churches.

With the abundance of growth taking place, ICM has implemented this groundbreaking program to begin raising up worship leaders to be released in our network of churches and into the Church body as whole. This will serve to infuse deeper, increasingly intimate and passionate encounters of worship in to His Bride across the state of Andhra Pradesh and the nation of India.

ICM's Relief efforts for the flood victims in Kurnool

It was a blessing to help 434 families with rice and blankets. The attached photos tell the story of our visit to villages on 30th of October and the houses that are completely gotten drowned in the floods and the temporary shelters that they are living in right now. We also blessed 500 children with clothes, they are having a school under a tent! It was joy to help but the need is greater. We are going back on the November 25th for a week with some more relief of food and blankets. If you are interested to know more about what we are doing and how you could become part of this. We would like to send a copy of our plan and the needs of the people, please write me at saturate_ap@yahoo.com.

ICM provides Rice for the people with HIV/AIDS in India, Sep 19, 2009

We spent several months identifying many who are afflicted with the disease of HIV and AIDS. We have selected 450 families that we can help feed and provide care. Our goal is to increase this to 1,000 in Prakasam District. We are using Covenant Churches as centers for these families to come to once a month to get their supplies.

ICM has always had a heart for those afflicted with HIV/AIDS, but in the past several years we stepped up our involvement. Andhra Pradesh state has a high incidence of HIV cases. As a state, we account for about 10% of all HIV/AIDS positive people in India. Prakasam District, where our headquarters is located, reported the highest incidence of HIV with 4% in urban areas. The government launched an AIDS Awareness Program in Ongole and we are participating in this. Here are the photos from September 19, 2009 distribution.
